A stop at Disney--Cruise on the Dream--a stop at Disney!
and 12 other travel agents!
This trip was an agent educational program trip, meaning we traveled with 18 other agents to explore new things to help others with Disney travel. The trip included places we have never stayed, for me it was the Beach Club Resort, and the Disney Dream. The trip included tours and visits to outside excursions.
With 14 hours to go to our trip we start to gather and plan to assemble for an early morning flight. I frantically packed and finished with work, Angel spent the night in Baton Rouge so we could hit the highway early. Our flight was at 10:25 but we knew we could run into traffic delays on the spillway to the airport so we planned to leave at 7am arriving at MSY (65 minutes from my house) The drive in was uneventful and we sat at the airport talking about our upcoming adventures.
Our plane arrived early at MCO and we scampered to the DME ready to start our adventure.
Angel was staying at Old Key West while Ginger and I were staying at Beach Club. Angel is the shadow blocking my view of the welcome sign
When we arrive our room is ready... A great room right off the the DVC hub in the villas, room 125.
We head out to the Magic Kingdom and walk through EPCOT to get there. Angel stays at her room meeting Morgan and her husband at OKW before they board DME for their flight home.
Ginger and I grab a bite to eat at the Boardwalk Bakery. I try something new and she gets the lobster roll.
It had been raining for days and the sun broke out as we enjoyed our Boardwalk Bakery sandwiches sitting out over the Boardwalk. A great way to start a new adventure.
When finished we walked through EPCOT and headed to the monorail to the Magic Kingdom.
Oh how I miss being able to ride in the front but hear that may change in the near future!
We meet up with Angel and ride some of our favorite rides including Space Mountain, the haunted mansion and Big thunder. One of the perks with an annual pass is the ability to walk into the park ride a few rides and not feel like you are wasting a park ticket!
After a quick trip around the park we start to get messages from agents. We take the bus back to the Beach Club and meet the other agents in the lobby. Share hugs and head to the room. We have a big day tomorrow headed to Port Canaveral and embarking on the cruise on the Disney Dream!
